Wedding

This weekend we attended Trey's cousins wedding in Austin. Trey was in the wedding so we headed down Friday to make it to the rehearsal. We made it and only 10 minutes late. Then Saturday was the wedding. Cooper had not met some of Trey's extended family so he got to meet a lot of new faces. It wasa a pretty rough night for me and him. He missed his afternoon nap and then at the wedding Cooper and I spent the entire ceremony out in the lobby and then at the reception he was soooo tired that he was just cranky. I was emotionally and physically tired from the whole thing. Cooper is just one of those kids that has a routine and he has to stick to it. He did sleep really good that night tho when we got home. Then today we wake up and now he is sick. Oh it is never ending. I am so ready for the warm weather to come and stay. I hate it when he is sick and of course the doctors wont do anything for him and so he just has to work through it. So pray that this cold will not last very long. He is also cutting 4 upper teeth all at once so that is not helping him feel any better. Don't you just feel sorry for him. Here are some pics of Cooper at the wedding when he was in a good mood.

Landscape

We had taken a break from doing stuff around the house due to the holidays and stuff. So now that the holidays are over we are trying to get some things done that needed to get done. One of them being the landscaping. So we got it done today and it turned out so good. Well that is my opinion.

I have been working a lot of extra shifts for the past couple of weeks so I have been really tired. Today Cooper and I tried a new class at this place called My Gym in Plano. We dropped Playwisely due to our teacher changed and I felt like she was just not worth it and could not keep Coopers attention. So I am out to find another class for us to go to. I think that Cooper needs the interaction with other kids and it helps to just get him out of the house. So anyways we went today and it was not quite what I was expecting but Cooper had a blast. I was comparing it to our last class and really did not know what to expect. But in this class it is more playing than sit down and learn. Cooper was all over the place. He was the youngest in class and so he was the only one still crawling so that was a little hard for him to play with the other boys in class. I am not sure yet on if we are going back.

Speaking on Coopers mode of transportation. He took a step the other day on his own. Just one step tho and then fell. He has done it a couple of times. I am just waiting for him to take off.

Usually for bath time we have Cooper sit in this little bath seat and play. Tonight I thought well lets see if he can sit on his own and play in the tub. So we did and he loved it. He had a lot of fun playing all over the tub with his toys.

I'm Bored

Well I am at work and bored so I thought I would make a post. I really dont have an idea of what I am going to post about. I was trying to think of anything fun and exciting that's going on around here but I really can't think of anything. I need to update everyone about the damage to the house since a lot of people have asked about it. We didn't get any money from the movers and I am still sooooo mad about that. We were able to get the walls fixed and they look good. The carpet on the landing (with the blood stains) was replaced. The carpet guy was able to use the scrap pieces we found in the attic and he seamed it together. The damage to the carpet upstairs probably won't be repaired anytime soon since we would have to pay for it out of our own pocket. Unfortunately we would have to replace the entire upstairs carpet including the stairs because we cannot get the same dye lot and it wont match.

On to something else. I think Cooper is getting his top two teeth. He was upset most of the day yesterday and then last night when Trey put him down to sleep about 3 hours later he woke up in tears and had a pitiful cry. I didn't have to go to work until 1am so I was trying to get a nap in before I left. So some tylenol and orajel later he went back to sleep and then I left for work. Hopefully Trey and Coop had a good night. Even though Coop is not feeling well he is still dancing away. I promise I will try and post the video of him doing his hip movements.

I dont think I made a post about our last doctors visit. We went for Coopers 9 month appt. and everything checked out well except for his weight. He has been in the 50th percentile up to this point for his weight and this time he dropped all the way to the 10th. Dr G told us to up his food intake and make sure he is getting some protein. Now I feel like all I do is stuff food down him :). As for his height he is in the 97th percentile at 29inches tall. I think he is going to be tall and skinny.

What else. Oh, Trey and I were suckers and bought an elliptical this past weekend. I have been wanting one for a while. There is no way I can get to the gym with Cooper because Trey's gym at work doesn't have child care. 24hr fitness is just to expensive because I am use to it being so cheap at Trey's work. Now I can just go upstairs to the game room and Cooper can play with his toys while I work out. I used it yesterday for the first time and oh my goodness I am out of shape. I could only do 8 minutes. How pathetic is that?

For not knowing what I was going to talk about I ended up with a pretty long post. I better get back to work only a couple more hours to go. YEAH!!!

Dancing Star

Cooper still amazes me. We got up this morning and came into the family room and I put him down to play. Well for christmas his Papa got him this toy that has a mirror and looks like your on stage. When you push the buttons it sings some catchy songs. Cooper pushed the button and then stood up in front of it and started dancing. He just kept lifitng up one foot then the other and was shaking his hips. It was just the cutest thing ever. I will have to try and get a video of it.

Cooper's First Christmas!

We had such a great Christmas this year. We got to see both sides of the family. Christmas eve Trey's parents and his brother and sister came up to our house and we had a great dinner and opened presents and watched Cooper love opening his gifts and play with the paper. Then Christmas morning we woke up early and then headed down to my parents house and went to my grandmothers and had our christmas breakfast and then went to my other grandmothers and spent the rest of the day there. Cooper was soooo tired by the end of the two days. I think he is still trying to recover.

Overdue Post

I have not posted in forever. Sorry about that.

I do have a great story tho. Last Saturday we had Treys parents pool table delivered to our house and it was some drama. To make a really long story short the movers ended up damaging the pool table, destroying my walls, and destroying the carpet. But the icing on top was when one of the movers took a fall down our stairs and we ended up having to call 911. Then when the EMT's took him away there was blood on my carpet. It was an absolute mess. So I had Trey pull the carpet on the landing where the blood was. So a brand new house with damaged walls and torn up brand new carpet. So now we are having to deal with trying to get this guys company to pay for the damages and all the crap that comes along with it. But it is not looking good. All of it just makes me so upset.

But on to some happy things. This weekend was crazy. My youngest sister Sara graduated yesterday for her undergrad at Hardin Simmons University in Abilene. So we drove Friday down to Abilene and that was a beating because of traffic and then we stayed the night with Sara and the had her graduation on Saturday morning. I am so proud of her. She is so smart and such a sweet person. She graduated with a 4.0 gpa and is now in physical therapy school at HSU.

After the graduation we loaded up and came back home because I had planned Treys 30th bday party for the same day as graduation. not planned that way. oh well. so we made it back to our house at 445 and the party was at 630. so we were running around like crazy. then the party started. It was so much fun. Thank you to everyone that came over and celebrated with us. We have such good friends.
