Last weekend I actually had the whole weekend off which is not common and so Trey and I decided to take a little trip down to Georgetown to see Nana and Papa. Cooper had a rough couple of nights due to the fact that he just cut his molars. This teething thing is rough. On Saturday Trey and I took advantage of having some babysitters and went and saw a movie and then went out that night and stayed the night away on the lake. We had a great time it being just the two of us but really missed our little man.

On the way home on Sunday we stopped and saw my mom. It is a great break in our drive. Since our Easter weekend was so crazy busy and the weather was not that great we did a little Easter egg hunt for Cooper that afternoon at my moms. He was so funny going around getting the eggs and he even put them in his basket. Then I spotted the riding lawn mower being out. Well when we were kids we used to drive that things all over the yard. We would have a blast on it. Since we never got our go kart that we always asked Santa to bring us the lawn mower had to do. Isn't that so sad. So I decided to introduce Cooper to the joy of riding the mower. So we got on and took it for a spin around the yard. After a while he got used to it and when Trey and him got on it together he was ready to drive by himself.

This past week I just worked and then on Friday Cooper and I went with my mom to Abilene to go take some pics of Sara and Jacob for their engagement pics. We had a good time seeing them.
Cooper has done some cute things lately that I should share. So I think I clean everyday and of course he watches me. Well lately he has wanted to help. The other day I look over and he had taken a rag and was washing the tile for me, it was so funny. He loves to push the vacuum too. Then lately when we go outside to the yard he will go find the weeds and pick them. Can you tell what I do when we are outside. You have to love Texas and the weeds.

I have such a little climber on my hands. He loves to climb up things. The problem is is getting down. He just dives off things with no fear. So we are working on getting off things without hurting ourselves.

As for speaking, well we were doing pretty good with words but it seems like we have just stopped wanting to talk all together. We are back to only saying dadadadad.

EGGS

Tonight we attempted to let Cooper dye his own eggs. Well we ended up without a single good egg left out of 4. It was so fun to watch him. I got him to put the egg in the dye and then he would take it back out and smash them together or throw them. He got dye all over him and me. And then the dogs wanted to eat the eggs. So I guess we will be using plastic eggs on Sunday. We got some great video but it is on our camcorder and it is a pain to convert the videos over so all you get is pics. Hope you like.

First Haircut

Well last week Cooper had his first haircut. I had Cooper's 1 year pictures scheduled for March 29 so I decided to got get his hair trimmed a little and I mean a little. Cooper did great. He got to sit in a firetruck. I told the lady to only take off very little. It was hard to watch his baby hair get cut. He does look a lot better.

We used a new photography for Cooper's 1 year pics. They were really nice and I hope that the pics turn out good. When I get them back I will post some.

As for Trey and I we have just been busy. I have worked 4 shifts a week for 2 weeks now. I have officially diagnosed myself as crazy. But I am hoping to use the extra for some good vacation things. Trey has just been working and then he has started playing golf again.

Here are some pics for the week.

Spring is Here

We had Cooper's 1 year appt last Thursday. He did great and everything checked out healthy. He of course got shots but by the time we were checking out he was all smiles and laughing. Cooper weighed in at 20.9 lbs which I am so proud to say is in the 20th percentile for weight. That is a lot better than the 10th. He is 31 inches tall and remains in the 90th for that. Still my tall string bean. Cooper is starting to say other words beside mama and dada. He has said out, nana, and ball so far. We are working hard on our words. He climbs everywhere. I know that it will not be to long until he is trying to get out of his crib. He is also trying to be such a big helper. He helped push the suit case while Trey was pulling it and was so proud of himself. He helps me with the laundry. He loves to put the dirty clothes into the washing machine.

We were in Houston this past weekend and while we were there we went to the rodeo. Cooper had fun. I think what he liked most was people watching. We took him into the petting zoo and he was not to sure about the animals. They were a little bigger than our puppies. Then on the way home Sunday we found this big open field of bluebonnets so we stopped for a picture opp. So here are some pics of all that.

Happy 1 year birthday

On March 10, 2009 Cooper turned 1. The year went by so fast and so much changed in that year. Cooper has developed into such a little man with a great big personality. We started with bringing home this tiny little baby that kept us up all night and now he is trying to be his own little independent boy. There was a time in my life when I thought that I was never going to get to be a mom. But in Gods time He blessed us with a precious baby. Watching Cooper develop over this year has been amazing. Over the year he learned how to coo at us, smile, rollover, sit up, crawl, walk, say words, and so much more. Cooper has brought joy to our lives and I cant wait to see what God has planned for him.

These are pictures taken on his birthday.

PARTY!!!!

We had Cooper's 1 year birthday party yesterday on March 7th and had such a great time. Cooper did good at his party. There was a lot of people here so it was a little overwhelming for him but all n all he did good. Cooper got lots of new toys and clothes and is having a blast playing with them. We as parents now just have more to pick up :) Thanks to everyone that came and celebrated with us. Yall are all the best friends and family anyone could have. We are so very blessed. Here are some pics of the party.

The next 2 pics are for Aunt Sara. This is the first time Cooper put this shirt on and as much as it hurt Trey and I we did it just for her.

Here is a video of Cooper riding his new toy. Earlier he was pushing the go button all by himself but just would not do it for this video.

Topless

Cooper has decided that he wants to be topless. On Tuesday of this week Cooper was playing in the living room and I was sitting there doing something productive I am just not sure what it was and I look over at him and he was pulling his shirt off. So he has officially taught himself to undress. So I just had to laugh. I let him be topless for a while and then I watch him take his pants off. So i had to quickly stop the stripping because all that was left was his diaper and I do not want him to learn how to take that off.

Cooper now has 6 teeth. 4 on top and his 2 on the bottom. He still is not talking a whole lot. He still talks in his own language all the time. He is just to active to sit down and learn words. Oh well it will come soon enough I am sure and then all the questions start right. Let me see what else has been going on with us this past week. Oh we joined a new class. We dropped our playwisely class due to a teacher change and i did not care for her to much. Now we are going to gymboree. We went to several classes and tried them out and this one just seemed to fit Cooper the best. He has a blast. His little friend Addison goes as well and so they just play and play and play and then we go home and take a really good nap. Cooper has been doing great in his bed and room. He sleeps so much better in there and most morning he does not get up as early as he was before. Thank goodness.
Trey and I have been talking about getting a nanny. I am so torn on what to do about that. I am so tired when I get off work in the mornings and all i want to do is go home and sleep but Cooper always has other plans. So we have been talking about getting someone to come watch him a couple of times a week while i sleep. Then I started thinking about someone else taking care of him and i just get all anxious inside. So i am not sure what we are going to do.. I have gotten some great suggestions from people, now i just need to decide what to do. I am almost thinking that since my mom said she could help us out, that i might just stop working so much and let her help and then i should be good. ok i am tired of thinking about all that.

I am at work right now so if this does not make since it is 2am right now so that is the reason.
Well i better go feed one of the babies. i will try and post some pics later today when i get up. trey and i get to go on a date with our good friends robert and steph without the kids so that should be a lot of fun. thanks muma for babysitting, what would we do without you.
oh ya, my friend Kristi from houston came into town this week to see us and we had so much fun getting to spend time with her. If only she would move to dallas :)
alright thats enough. till the next post.
