Maui Trip May 2012

Our trip up mount haleakala, will be one that we talk about for years to come. When we were packing for Maui Trey asked me if he needed anything besides shorts and I said no we are going to the beach. When we were getting ready to start our adventure up the mount we were all trying to come up with warm stuff to wear. We were going to be 10,000 ft up and everything we read said it is freezing up there. So we got up at 3am to make it to the top to see the sunrise. Alicia drove and did a great job going up and down the mount. We got to the top and everyone was right it was cold. It was the most beautiful sunrise I have seen in my life so far. We were above the clouds. After it came up we ran to the car to defrost ourselves and headed down so that we could get some breakfast. I really enjoyed doing this.

Mothers Day 2012

4 year stats

We had Cooper's 4 year appt a little late this year because I did not want to schedule it near his bday since he was getting shots and so we had to push it out to april. He did great at his appt. He had a vision test done and was 20/30 and passed his hearing test. That was good news because I was starting to think he had a hearing problem, but just to find out it is just his male DNA. haha He weighs in at 36lbs which is the 55% and his height is 41 in being in the 75%. Still tall and skinny. He had to get a lot of shots this time and he did not appreciate that one bit but he only cried a few tears and then he was good to go. Let me try to think of some things about Cooper at this age. He loves playing baseball. We play all the time working on throwing catching, and batting He still eats like a bird. He can spell his name, knows my phone number and his address, and can count to 25 He still loves to read. we still have the same bedtime routine since he was a baby. read books, read Bible say prayers and daddy or I lay in his bed for a few minutes. He is still attached to his blankie, but now if he does not have it he will manage. He knows 5 memory versus, and can tell you several stories of the Bible( adam and eve, noah, moses, the 10 comandments, jacob) and he is still learning He loves to go, go, go. He would rather be outside than anywhere else He knows all the players that usually play on the Texas Rangers On Cooper's bday I interviewed him with some questions. I am going to try and do this every year. thought it would be fun Favorite food: brownies and pepperoni Favorite sport: baseball Favorite TV show: Curious George Favorite thing to do at school: sing Coolest person: my friend Taylor Favorite place to go: Daddy's work When I grow up I want to be a: Farmer Favorite song: Im in the Lords army Favorite book: Elmos baseball book Favorite season: summer Favorite snack: fruit snacks We just love this little sweet boy

End of Year

Cooper on his last day of MDO. As I type that it is so sad to think about. My little boy is done with MDO forever. Next year he goes to preschool. Oh wow, the years go by so fast.

Coloring Eggs

The kids colored their eggs so the Easter Bunny could hide them the next morning. Ryleigh liked doing it but did not like the fact that she got dirty.

Easter 2012 - Farm

Here are pictures from our day at the farm Easter weekend. Cooper got to shoot his BB gun that Uncle Nathan got him.

Easter 2012 (April 8)

I am so far behind on blogging. My laptop died and I just got a new one so now I can play catch up. Lets talk about Easter weekend. We headed down to Nana and Papa's house to celebrate with them. We started off the weekend with a brunch and Easter egg hunt at the country club. The kids had a great time and Cooper cleaned up of some eggs this year. Then we packed up and headed to the farm to get together with all of Treys family. The kids got to romp and play outside. It was a great weekend full of memories. This first pic is before we left the kids made rice krispie eggs and decorated them. Of course the kids did more eating than decorating.
Here are pics from the country club egg hunt.
