MIckey's House

To Mikey Mouse's House we went. Last Saturday March 17th we headed out to Disney World for a family vacation with Trey's family. We had a good time after a really rough start. I guess you could just call it what has become a typical Watts family vacation.

These first 2 pics are of Cooper getting ready to fly in his first plane. He did so good. The only time he had problems was the landing. His ears bothered him so bad when coming down. But during the plane ride he would play with his stickers and we would read books and that kept him entertained. He loved being able to sit in his on seat like a big boy.

Day 1 of vacation we headed out to the Houston Astros spring training game vs the Braves. It was a beautiful day for a baseball game. When we got there we went and got Cooper a baseball so that he could have it autographed. At times he did not want to give the players his ball or pen. It was fun to watch him. Then the excitement started. We were into the 3rd inning when Trey decided to be a hero and save Cooper and I. We had seats on the first base line about 5 rows up. Great seats but dangerous all at the same time. Cooper was in my lap distracting me with something and I hear everyone scream. When I looked up there was a ball headed right for coopers head at probably 100 mph or more. Trey quickly reacted and threw his hand over in front of us and the ball bounced off his inner hand near his thumb and went up into the upper deck. Thank goodness Trey still has quick reflexes. Trey then went and had it checked out which they did nothing really except give him an ice pack. We stayed a little longer and then left the game. Great start to the vacation.

Day 2: So we thought we had a great plan for this day, but that all changed. Trey was really hurting so he wanted to go get it looked at and get something for the pain. So Trey's dad said he would take him. So Cooper, Emilie and I loaded up and headed to Animal Kingdom and thought that as soon as Trey got done at the urgent care place he could meet up with us. Well he had to wait there for 2 hours and then when they did see him they said it looked dislocated and they could not do anything for him and sent him to the ER. They did not even give him something for the pain. So off they went to the ER. Meanwhile we are having fun at the park and then Cooper had explosive diarrhea. It was lunch and nap time so we headed back to the condo. Trey and I kept texting each other so that I knew what was going on with him. Well the ER there is terrible and he waited for 7 hours before even getting seen. Then after they xrayed his hand they thought there might be tendon damage and wrapped him up. So thinking that he is almost done, I then get a text saying that he cannot stop throwing up and so they are giving him some fluids. So I head up to the ER to be with him and relieve his dad. He was almost done with his fluids when I got there. At this point I could not take anymore. The wonderful world of pregnancy hormones and the stress of everything just hit me. I just start crying and just want to go to the airport and go home. And that is how day 2 went. Fun Right?

Day 3: Cooper and I woke up and come to find out everyone had come down with a stomach virus. Trey had gotten the day before and Trey's mom had gotten it Monday night and Emilie woke up with it Tuesday morning. So Cooper and I were on our own for the day. It was a Mommy Son day. We went to downtown disney and shopped and had a great lunch. It was a nice relaxing day. Come to find out there were some many people all coming down with this virus around there.

Day 4: Yeah everyone is feeling good and we got to go to the parks. We went to Hollywood Studios first that morning and rode some rides and watched some shows. Later that day we went back to Animal Kingdom and did things there again. It was a fun day.

Cooper meeting Donald and Daisy.I cant believe he went up there by himself
Day 5: This day was for Magic Kingdom. You almost need 2 days at this park with little kids because there is so much to do and see. We rode a lot of rides and then got to see the parade at the end of the day which was so good. We had planned on watching the fireworks but Cooper had had enough and wanted to go to bed.
Cooper Meeting Minnie and Mickey. He gave Minnie a hug and Mickey a high five.
Cooper finally rode a horse on a carousel. This is Cooper and Nana

Cooper's first roller coaster. And yes it was pretty fast and no my kid did not cry.

Day 6: Was a relax day and get ready to travel back home. We slept in until 1130. Can you believe that? We were all so tired. I think I am still tired from the week. We went back to downtown disney for the day and ate lunch and shopped around again. Then later that day we took Cooper to the pool to play.

Happy 2 Year Birthday

Happy Birthday to my little boy who turned 2 today. We had such an amazing day today as a family celebrating his birthday. He is growing up to be such a sweet little boy. He is so very physical. He runs everywhere and loves to climb. He throws really well left and right handed. even though his daddy tells him to throw with his left. We had his 2 year checkup and he is 26 lbs which is in the 25th percentile and he is 35.5 in tall which is in the 90th percentile. So if you go by what they say about height he should be 6ft tall when he is done growing. His verbal skills has really started to increase as he has gotten closer to 2. He is singing his ABC's and can count to 5. Here is a picture of Cooper the morning of his birthday. I went and got hime donuts for breakfast

A couple of pictures before we left for the day. He loves to say cheese.

Trey took a half day off from work today and we took Cooper to the ft worth zoo. This picture is Cooper being terrified of the gorillas. It was so funny.

So sweet

We ended the day with dinner at Joe T's. It was a perfect day one I will always
remember

Cooper,
I Love You so very much and am so proud of you. You have brought such joy to our lives. You have such a great personality and I look forward to watching it develop even more over the next years. The years are going by so fast and I just cherish each and every day that we spend together.

Melmo

Sunday night we took Cooper to go see Elmo or Melmo as he says. When the show started Cooper was in a state of shock. I dont think he even blinked. I guess seeing Elmo and the other characters live was just beyond his comprehension. After the intermission he was a little more into the show. He started dancing and clapping to the songs. It was so fun to watch him.

This past weekend Cooper, my mom, and I headed out to west Texas to go see my sister Sara. She is finishing up her class time for PT school so they had a research project that they presented that family could come and watch. So we went to Abilene on Friday morning and met Sara and Jacob for lunch and then went to Sara's thing. Cooper did so good. He sat real quite through the first group and then it was Sara's groups turn. He did good as long as he was eating his jelly beans. ha ha. Well on the way down there we had been practicing saying Sara's name. At the end of Sara's talkon their power point they put up a picture of the group. Well Cooper saw that picture and starting saying Sara and pointing to her picture. He started getting louder and louder so we had to leave the room. It was so funny. That night we went and stayed the night at Sara and Jacobs house in Rotan. yes that's right Rotan. what you have never heard ofthat, well me either until they moved there. it is an hour away from Abilene. We had a good time with them and the next day spent the morning there and then headed home. It was a good trip but short.

This picture is of Sara showing us around the PT school. This is the cadaver lab. it was pretty neat.

This is my mom and sara

Cooper got an early birthday present from his uncle Nathan. His first bicycle. Cooper loved it.
