Our first Date

YEAH!!!! Trey and I finally went out on a date without Cooper. My youngest sister turned 21 on June 19th and so we took her out with my sister Alicia and her husband, Emilie my sister in law and Sara's good friend Reagan. We went to Pete's Piano bar and we had a really good time.

So Cooper got to go stay the night at my moms house. It was of course his first time to be away from us. It was kind of hard to wake up this morning and him not be there. But on the other hand I went like 42 hours with no sleep because I had worked Friday night and then had a lot going on on Saturday and then went out Saturday night so it was nice to be able to sleep in this morning a little. But i still got up earlier than i thought i would. I was anxious to go get Cooper.

My mom said he did good thru the night for her, but he did not go to sleep until almost midnight for her. He gets so distracted in places he had not been alot.

So how about that 2 postings in one day. Does that make up for me missing a couple of weeks?

Father's Day June 15th

Sorry I have not posted in a while. I really dont know how I let this many weeks go by without posting. Well lets see what I can excite yall with this time. We have been busy but not a lot has gone on. Does that make sense?

We have picked everything out for the new house. That was a little overwhelming but it helped that I had a pretty good idea of things that I wanted. It was just hard to stay within budget. Who was it that came up with the concept of a budget anyways :) ? I did the same color scheme as our house now. It just works with everything. As for selling our house, we have had several lookers but no one has made an offer yet. Can I just tell you that it always seem that they want to come look at this house at the worst times for us. It is just hard to get me and Cooper and the dogs out of the house in 15 minutes. But we have managed. And keeping the house clean and ready for showings at anytime, oh my. So that is what is happening with all that.

As for our little man. He is so great. Trey got to have his first fathers day and so we took a trip down to Houston to see my friend Kristi and took Cooper to his first Baseball game. Trey is a Yankees fan and they were playing the Astros so that was his gift to go to the game with Cooper. It was a little interesting being at the game at Cooper's bed time. He was trying to sleep at the game but then the crowd would get loud and he would get upset. Understandable! Didn't the crowd know that I had a sleeping baby and they need to use their whisper voice :)

Then we stayed until Sunday and on Sunday went to my friend Kristi's church. She went to Africa this past friday on a mission trip and so they had a commissioning for her and her friend Shala before they left. I was glad we got to be there for that.

Cooper's Best Friend

On May 27th my best friend Shelley had her little boy Jax. Cooper and Jax are like 2 1/2 months apart in age so Shelley and I got to be pregnant together. Then we found out we were both having boys and decided that they have to be best friends. Even when Cooper was in utero he got to hear about Jax. So on Tuesday Cooper and I went down to welcome Jax into the world. Wednesday Cooper got to meet him for the first time. It was the cutest thing. They both look like their dads. It is going to be so much fun to watch them grow up together like Shelley and I did. Even though we dont live real close they will still get to be good friends, how can they not :)?

This outfit came all the way from NYC from Kristi

Cooper is 3 Months on June 2nd. Oh time goes by so fast.

Memorial Weekend

To travel or not to travel that has been the question. So we decided to take the plunge and travel with Cooper down to Trey's parents house in Georgetown for the weekend. So this is how it went.
I worked Wednesday night and then came home and only got to sleep for about and hour and a half before Cooper could take no more of laying in bed and so I got up. Well we wanted to leave Thursday afternoon so we could miss traffic so I was like well I am up so I better pack. Oh my goodness. We were packed down like the Clampets. I felt like I could not pack enough. So then Trey got home and we were off. Well my mom calls and she wanted us to meet here in Waxahachie and eat lunch so that she could see us. Ok lets get real she did not want to see us she just wanted some Cooper lovin. So we stopped. Something had blown in and Trey's allergies were going crazy so he just did not feel good. So he could not drive anymore so I was up. Know remember when I said I only had 1 1/2 hours of sleep. That was in a 24 hours period. And I was going to drive us down 35, drivers look out. I was the better of us to drive. Isnt that scary. Trey and I just argued the whole day pretty much because we were both exhausted. I was sooooo not happy about having to drive because I had already made a point about not going to be able to drive and so he better be able to drive the whole way. I was actually more awake than I thought I would be. We made it to his parents house safe and sound. Cooper did great the whole trip down. He just slept like the little angel he is.

We got to see family that have not gotten to meet Cooper yet so that was fun. The weekend was really rough on Cooper. He did not sleep well at all. His naps were non existent and he slept so bad at night. When Cooper sleeps bad guess who else sleeps bad. He did not sleep good for 3 nights and neither did I. I guess him just not being in his own bed just thru him all off. We tried to keep his bedtime routine.

Cooper did though get to go swimming in the pool and he had a good time doing that. I took some pics so here you go.

Isnt he the cutest little boy ever

Things are changing

So a lot has happened over the last couple of weeks. Trey and I had been talking about maybe moving for a couple of weeks so we decided to just go out and look around at what was being offered. If you know Trey and I you know that we go through this oh about every year or a little less. We start looking at houses and things and then don't do anything. Well this time we actually are doing it. On May 16th Trey called me and he was in the process of trading his Corvette in and getting a more practical family car with good gas mileage. Because lets all face it that car was not working with the new family. Can you believe that Trey gave up his baby. It was a hard night for him. I thought I was going to need to bring a box of tissues to the dealership. Even though I was ready to get rid of the car it was kind of sad. I guess because I knew that Trey really enjoyed it. Maybe he can get another one in a couple of years.

So that was Friday night. So then we also decided to get rid of the boat that was just sitting in the garage. We knew that we were not going to be able to use it with Cooper in our life now so we put it up for sale. Within a couple of days we had the boat sold to a nice family. I know they will really enjoy it. We were cleaning house. It is like we took a Dave Ramsey class or something. We should have probably have done these things years ago, but oh well.

Then a couple of days later we went and signed a contract to start building a new house. We are staying in Wylie, the new house is just going to be in the neighborhood across the street so we are not moving far at all. All of these changes have been a little over whelming. Also in the middle of all this Trey got a job offer in Las Vegas. So we had to really pray about where God wanted us and what he wanted to do. It was a hard decision. But when it came down to making the decision Trey turned it down for several reasons. He is happy at TI and he is about to change positions to the networking team and that is something that he really enjoys and is really looking forward to something new and to be apart of that group. Not that I really know what networking is all about but I am glad that he is getting this opportunity. I am glad we are not going to LV because I really love being around family and it would have been really hard to not have them around, especially with Cooper here now.

So all in all we are staying in Wylie and building a new house. So pray for us that everything goes well.
