Our sweet ballerina

This year Ryleigh started ballet dance class. She loves to sing and dance around the house so I decided we would give this a chance and see how she likes it. Well there is no question that she loves to go. I have caught her several times playing in her dance outfit around the house. Hopefully this helps with her coordination because she is lacking in that area. I don't know where she gets that from.

Grandparents Day breakfast sep 12

Cooper's school had a grandparents day breakfast to celebrate grandparents day. Here is a pic of Cooper and his meme

Ryleigh's First Day

We said goodbye to MDO last year and started a new adventure for Ryleigh called Preschool. She is going where Cooper did, at our church. I really had no worries about her starting preschool for several reasons. One being she is my social butterfly that will talk to anyone. Two, it is at our church and she is very comfortable there. Three, her friends that she loves are in her class. And four, I love the program. So off we went on her first day and she was so excited. The only bad thing about first days there is that we don't get to walk them in. It is just a drive up and drop off situation, in which my daughter hardly said bye to me. Oh I love her

Kindergarten Begins Aug 26 2013

Cooper started Kindergarten this year, where did the time go. Cooper had some anxiety about it all but in turn has done really well. He did great on the first day of school. He had no tears unlike his mother. His teacher Mrs Garcia is great and he seems to like her very much. We got to walk Cooper to his classroom the first week of school and then after that that was it, my baby grew up. I was so nervous about him walking into school alone and getting to places that he was suppose to be at. Not to worry though he did it like a champ. I think he said he only got lost 1 time but figured it out on his own. And so his school years started. WOW!

Meet Baby Jase

While we were away on our Galveston trip Baby Jase decided to make his grand entrance on august 9. We cut our trip a little short and headed back home to come meet him. He is such a cute sweet baby. I enjoyed every minute of getting to love on him. I am excited to finally be an Aunt.

BFF

This is Ryleigh's best friend Samantha. Ryleigh wants to be with her all the time. They get to see each other 4 times a week and that is still not enough. I love that she has such a close friend. They are so fun to watch.

Ryleighs Teeth

Ryleighs first trip to the dentist was a success. She was such a big girl she went back all by herself and sat in that chair with no fears. She did amazing

Fathers Day 2013

Our All Star

Cooper and his team mate/baseball buddy Landon got selected to be on the all star team. They got to do some competitions before the game such as fastest runner around the bases, who can hit the farthest and throwing. The kids had a good time

Ryleigh's 3rd Birthday

Ryeigh turned 3 this year and we had 3 different celebrations for her. First we had celebrated on her actual birthday with just us 4. This year I kind of cheated her. Instead of having a big friend party I just had a her best friend Samantha and her sister Abgail over and our neighbors Ethan and Audrey for some water fun, lunch, and cupcakes. She had a great time with her friends and it was so much easier. Then we got together for a swim party at Alicia's house and had more cake. She loved her cake and all her presents. Here are a few pics.

Boston Trip June 2013

Back on June 1, 2013 the kids, my mom and I took a trip to Boston to go visit Sara and Jacob. We had a wonderful trip and can not wait to go back. I hope I can remember everything we did so that I can have all of it in this blog but lets face it that was several months ago and my memory is not that good anymore. One of the best things about this trip was that I did not have to plan anything. I have not had a vacation that I was not planning and researching for things to do so it was so nice of Sara to plan it all and she did a great job. Well we arrived in Boston on June 1, and they were having one of their hot days (they have like what like 5 a year and it happen to be when we are there)we were trying to escape the heat. Sara and Jacob met us at the airport and then off for our first train ride in Boston. The kids loved riding around that city on the trains. Sure bets having to be in car seats all the time. Our first day was low key. Only thing is that Sara had us walk what was suppose to be a short walk to a pizza place that ended up being longer than I thought and when you are having to carry a kid it makes it even longer. The next day we loaded up and headed to the Cape. It was a beautiful day for the beach even though it was chilly once we got to the beach and the water was cold. We went to a beach called Wood Neck Beach. It was great for the kids because when the tide went down it leaves pools of water that warm up and are perfect for the kids to play in and stay warm. We had a great time playing in the sand, looking for crabs which we found none, and running around. This is a place I would love to go back to sometime. Below are our pictures of the day. When we were done at the beach we went to eat at a place called Silver Lounge Diner. It is a small place that you can eat in a train caboose. The food was good and the kids loved the atmosphere.
After fun at the beach we came home and got ready to go see some places in the city. First stop was to go to Harvard. This picture is funny because there is a story that goes with this. Sara and Jacob told us that if you touch the golden shoe on the statue it is suppose to make you smarter. So we all did our part and touched the shoe. I felt nothing happen to me haha. Then after we touched the shoe, Sara goes on to tell us that during Rush week they make the rushees pee on the foot of the statue. Gross. It was funny. But what was even funnier was when we were already back home we were in the car and Cooper and I were talking about something and he said remember mom I am smarter because I touched that Golden shoe. haha it was so funny.
That night we went to Cheers to have dinner. Don't judge about my kids sitting at a bar.
That was day 1. Sara had us going. Day 2 was going to be raining so we went to the Boston Children's Museum. This is a great place.
After the rain stopped we walked some of the Freedom Trail to the North end to see some historical sites. We saw Paul Revere and his house and we ate at the oldest restaurant in Boston the Union Oyster Bar. Not that this is historical but we got dessert at Mikes Pastry (Jacobs favorite and he only gets to go there when people come to visit).
Day 3 we went out to Harbor Islands spectacle, George. We took a ferry out to the islands which was a fun boat ride. While we were riding out to the islands we got to see the USS Constitution sailing. It only sails I think they said 2 times a year and we got to see it out in the water. Cooper was not real excited about the ship but was liking the fire boats that were following the ship and shooting out water. The first island we went to a historical Fort on it that you can tour. We did that and then had a picnic lunch and then headed to the next island and did some hiking to the top.
After we got back to the city we got to go have all you can eat ice cream at the Scooper Bowl. It is a fundraiser and if you know Sara and there is ice cream she is there. We ate a lot of ice cream and did some dancing. Then after we were to the point of tummy aches we went by to see Sara's work. While we were seeing Sara's work Jacob went home to start cooking dinner for us. Well we ended up getting a phone call from Jacob saying that he was locked out of the apartment. When we got back to the apartment we found Jacob sitting outside his door. So much for a good dinner we had mcdonalds on the floor of their hallway. Great memories.
Our last day, we started out the day having a great breakfast at a popular spot called Charlie's. Only complaint about this place was they had no public restrooms. With 2 little kids that does not go well. When we were done there we went shopping on Newbury street. What a fun place to shop at. I could have spent all day there, but lets me honest I had to bored kids and muma. Later that day we made our way to the Garden to ride the famous Swan Boats. And there you get to understand the story of the Boston Ducks. Then my mom and I went to the State House while Sara took the kids to play.
We ended our trip with a Red Sox vs Rangers game at Fenway Park. The Rangers won which made the night even better.
Can't Wait to go back
