GQ

GQ here I come.
The next cover shot.

We had a busy weekend. Friday night Trey and I started our weekend project. We wanted to get the media room all done. So friday night after Coop went to bed we started painting. You just cant get anything done when a toddler is running around. So up late we stayed trying to finish it up. We got the painting done but we have much more to do. Hopefully I can post a pic of it finished soon. Also this weekend Treys work had a free day at the zoo for the families. So we took Coop to his first zoo trip. It was hot but we had a good time. Cooper was amazed by some of the animals. I know what he was thinking. Man these animals do not look like my puppies. We meet up at the zoo with my friend Jessica, her son Luke and her husband Chris who Trey works with. We did not get to stay that long because we did not want to keep Coop out in the heat that long. Then we went and hung out with Alicia and Randy and had a little pool get together with them. Cooper had a blast playing basketball in the pool. Alicia taught him how to slam dunk the ball. We had a great time spending time as a family.

Here are some cute pics of Cooper and us at the zoo

Some cute pics

Since we have been back from vacation we have been busy. I am not sure of what but between work and just doing our daily activities it seems like we have not slowed down. Trey and I did get to go out on a date last friday and had a lot of fun. We went to the rough riders game with my friend Lisa and her husband. The only thing bad about that night is that it started raining and we had to end our night a little early.
Today was so beautiful outside that I could not keep Cooper inside and miss the pretty day. Even tho I was tired from working last night I got off the couch and we went and ran some errands and then went to the park to play. Cooper had a great time. We were going to try and come home and go swimming but we were both exhausted after running around. I am hoping to get him out all this week since it is going to be so nice. Cooper would rather be outside than inside anyways. The minute the doors open to outside he is running towards them. Then if we open the garage door he will go and try and get us to take him on a walk with his wagon. He will even push the wagon out of the garage for us. Then if we don't take him you better look out because here comes a fit.

I took some pics today so here they are.

Beach and Sun

We survived our first family vacation. We just got back from Destin,FL and had such a good time. The adventure goes a little something like this. We packed up the car or should I say loaded down the car and head off. We drove half way and then stopped in Mississippi to stay the night. We did not set a wake up call but got one anyways. At 530am the smoke alarms went off and we had to leave the building. One of the ovens had started smoking but they were able to keep it from starting a fire. So we ate a little breakfast and then went back to bed for a couple of hours. Also that night Trey came down sick and had a bad fever. The vacation started off great. We packed up and headed for Florida. On the way Trey just got worse so we were on the look for an urgent care place. We finally found one in Mobile,Al. They said Trey had strep throat. So on we pressed with an unexpected expense and a hopefully soon to be better Trey.
We got to Destin and it was beautiful. Cooper was not into the sand, in fact he was terrified of it. It took us a while to convince him that it was fun. He eventually liked it and had a blast on the beach. The ocean on the other hand he never really liked. He was just not to sure about it.
Then on Sunday night Cooper spiked a high fever. So we debated on taking him to the ER due to Trey being sick. We ended up taking him in and they just assumed he had strep and started him on antibiotics. It took like 2 1/2 days to get Cooper's fever to break. He was a good trooper we still got to go do somethings. We took Cooper to the Gulfarium and to play putt putt. On our last night there we took a sunset cruise and had a blast. During our trip while Cooper was sick he then developed a rash. Over the days it kept spreading. So when we got back I took him to the pedi and he never had what Trey had he had hand throat and mouth. So thanks to the crappy care we got at the ER we were giving our kids meds for no reason.
Besides all the sickness that happened it was fun. It was great to play on the beach and swim at the pools and eat some great seafood. We will for sure consider going back there. It is a great place for families.
Here are some pics. Hope you like
