Christmas 2013
Christmas was different this year. Family traditions are changing and I am not sure if I am happy about that or not. It was a great Christmas but just different and you know change is hard sometimes. We started having Christmas with Ma and the family earlier in the month of December a couple of years ago now. We still all get together for breakfast and do Chinese Christmas but just early so no one has to rush anymore. It is more enjoyable than having to rush to get down there and then rush to get on to the next Christmas. This year we stayed at home and everyone came over to our house. Well not everyone sara and Jacob did not get to come home again this year so we had to facetime them into the house. Thank goodness for technology. We went to Christmas eve service at church and then had a good dinner and in the morning had Christmas. One bummer that happened was Trey came down with the flu so he was pretty much non existent. It is always something right. Here are some pictures from several things
This is from our Christmas lights adventure.
When we were at the Gaylord we went and saw Santa. Cooper did great and went right up and sat on his lap and started talking. Funny thing was my very outgoing doesn't know a stranger daughter would not do it. Santa was great and took his time to talk to her at a distance and eventually got her close to him

Ryleigh's Party
For Christmas this year Ryleigh's school put on a performance for us and then we got to go to their classrooms and have a party.
Choo Choo
Cooper got to go on the Polar Express at school. Leading up to this day he was so convinced that they were going on the real Polar Express that once he figured out what was going on he was a little disappointed. The kindergarten hallway was changed into the inside of the train. The kids all got tickets that had to be punched and then got to sit down and enjoy hot chocolate while the Polar Express story was read to them. So happy I got to share this time with him. He is growing up so so fast.
Gaylord Ice
This year the Gaylord Ice was the Nutcracker and Nana was up spending time with us and go to go with us.
After we went through Ice we did some snow tubing which the kids loved and then went to eat in downtown Grapevine and watch the lights. This is always one of my favorite things to do this time of year. Such great family memories.
Ryleighs Christmas ballet 12/18/2013
Ryleigh has been loving her ballet class. They got to do a small Christmas performance for the parents in the studio and it was just adorable. I love that she enjoys it so much and that she gets to do it with her friends.
This is Ryleigh's good friends. left to right Anna, Josalynn, Samantha, Ryleigh, and Avery
Gingerbread houses at Tibbals Elementary
Cooper's school plans such great things for the kids. We have been very blessed to have Cooper at such a great school this year. For Christmas all of Kindergarten got to decorate gingerbread houses. Trey went up to the school to help out so he snapped a few pics of Cooper hard a work.
He is sitting next to one of his good little friends Cassie in these pics
Christmas with Nana and Papa
Since Nana and Papa were moving to San diego right after Christmas we celebrated Christmas with them the weekend after Thanksgiving. We had a great big breakfast and then opened the gifts. It was a great relaxing morning.
Thanksgiving 2013
This year for Thanksgiving we got to go to Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Bruce's house in Marble Falls. We went and stayed at uncle Nathans house this year since nana and papa sold their house in Georgetown. Then on thanksgiving day we drove into marble falls and spent the day with the family. The kids had a blast playing with their cousins outside. There was a lot of football going on. That night Aunt Carolyn took us to see the Christmas lights in downtown by the lake. We are so blessed to have such a awesome family.
albuquerque is a turkey
Ryleigh's Thanksgiving program at school was very interesting.
Let me first start by explaining the title. This is the title of one of the songs they sang and let me just say it is very catchy. You will go around singing it for days.
My very outgoing, loves to sing and perform little girl was pouty the whole performance. I don't thing she sang a single song. The picture below is basically how she looked the whole time. Come to find out she was upset because she was suppose to stand by Samantha and didn't get to. Then through our lunch she cried the whole time. She was just not herself.
Halloween 2013
This year Ryleigh was snow white and Cooper was Bumblebee transformer. They picked their own costumes this year so not matching theme. I guess they have gotten to big for that :( Funny story about Nana, she had called and was asking the kids what they were going to be for Halloween and Ryleigh said snow white and then Cooper said I am going to be Bumblebee. Nana paused for minute and then said Trey is going to let Cooper be a bee? I quickly clarified that Cooper was a transformer named Bumblebee and not a buzzing bee. haha. Since I was still down from back surgery and could not ride in the car my mom came up and helped Trey take the kids to Boo on Ballard and then I got to go walk around the neighborhood with the kids. Cooper's school also had a trunk or treat that the kids got to go to also.
It was a fun Halloween and kids got way to much candy.
