Happy 2 Year Birthday

Happy Birthday to my little boy who turned 2 today. We had such an amazing day today as a family celebrating his birthday. He is growing up to be such a sweet little boy. He is so very physical. He runs everywhere and loves to climb. He throws really well left and right handed. even though his daddy tells him to throw with his left. We had his 2 year checkup and he is 26 lbs which is in the 25th percentile and he is 35.5 in tall which is in the 90th percentile. So if you go by what they say about height he should be 6ft tall when he is done growing. His verbal skills has really started to increase as he has gotten closer to 2. He is singing his ABC's and can count to 5. Here is a picture of Cooper the morning of his birthday. I went and got hime donuts for breakfast

A couple of pictures before we left for the day. He loves to say cheese.

Trey took a half day off from work today and we took Cooper to the ft worth zoo. This picture is Cooper being terrified of the gorillas. It was so funny.

So sweet

We ended the day with dinner at Joe T's. It was a perfect day one I will always
remember

Cooper,
I Love You so very much and am so proud of you. You have brought such joy to our lives. You have such a great personality and I look forward to watching it develop even more over the next years. The years are going by so fast and I just cherish each and every day that we spend together.

Melmo

Sunday night we took Cooper to go see Elmo or Melmo as he says. When the show started Cooper was in a state of shock. I dont think he even blinked. I guess seeing Elmo and the other characters live was just beyond his comprehension. After the intermission he was a little more into the show. He started dancing and clapping to the songs. It was so fun to watch him.

This past weekend Cooper, my mom, and I headed out to west Texas to go see my sister Sara. She is finishing up her class time for PT school so they had a research project that they presented that family could come and watch. So we went to Abilene on Friday morning and met Sara and Jacob for lunch and then went to Sara's thing. Cooper did so good. He sat real quite through the first group and then it was Sara's groups turn. He did good as long as he was eating his jelly beans. ha ha. Well on the way down there we had been practicing saying Sara's name. At the end of Sara's talkon their power point they put up a picture of the group. Well Cooper saw that picture and starting saying Sara and pointing to her picture. He started getting louder and louder so we had to leave the room. It was so funny. That night we went and stayed the night at Sara and Jacobs house in Rotan. yes that's right Rotan. what you have never heard ofthat, well me either until they moved there. it is an hour away from Abilene. We had a good time with them and the next day spent the morning there and then headed home. It was a good trip but short.

This picture is of Sara showing us around the PT school. This is the cadaver lab. it was pretty neat.

This is my mom and sara

Cooper got an early birthday present from his uncle Nathan. His first bicycle. Cooper loved it.

30 and 14

Cooper and Papa playing with stickers

I turned 30 this past Wednesday the 10th. I have hit another decade. My life is flying by, but I have nothing to regret about it. They say that women prime in their thirties, so bring it on. Trey and I waited until friday night to celebrate. Treys parents came up and watched Cooper for us for the night and we went to stay at the gaylord for the night. We had a really good time. Trey took me to eat sushi which was so good. We sat beside Emmitt Smith at dinner which was neat. We were hoping to get a very good nights sleep that night, but when both of us woke up that morning neither one of us slept good. So that was a bummer. We were going to spend the day out doing things but it was so cold and wet outside from all the snow, and we missed our little boy that we did a little shopping and then headed home. It was nice to get away for the evening but great to be home.

Today is the 14th of Feb, the day of love. We are going to go to church and celebrate Gods love for us and then over to my sisters for a lunch that she is cooking me for my birthday. It is going to be a great day. I have both of my loves with me all day today. I hope everyone has a great valentines day.

Its A GIRL!!!

We found out on January 27th that we are having a baby girl. We are so excited. Well I am really excited, I think Trey is a little worried about having a girl to take care of. I know he is so worried about this little girl having him wrapped around his little finger. LOL. Everything about her looked great on the sono. She is measuring in at 10 oz which is where she needs to be. She was being very stubborn during the sono and not wanting to turn over. Image that another one of our children stubborn. I dont know where they get it from. So I am half way there. It is going so fast. Chasing after a 2 year old doesnt give you much time to think about it. Cooper, now when you say where is the baby he points to my belly. It is so sweet. He is going to be a great big brother.

Great Friends

This past weekend I took a quick trip down to houston to go see Kristi and her new house. Ashley and I drove down together saturday and hung out with her and of course did some shopping and eat at cheesecake factory to celebrate her bday. I miss having her around all the time but at least when we do get to see each other it makes it that much more special.

Two weekends ago Trey and I worked our tails off to get Cooper's big boy room ready for him to sleep in. We first went shopping and got his furniture, which will not be in until Fed 10th or so. Then got some paint and got busy. His room is going to be done in airplanes so we painted the walls blue for the sky. I am attempting at the time to find someone to come and paint an airplane mural on the wall. We got it ready and Cooper slept in his big boy room for the first time last wednesday night. He did ok i guess. I had to lay in there with him until he feel alseep and then he slept good until 2am and then woke up crying, so to our bed he came. That has been about what he does everynight so far. We have been trying not to bring him to our bed and just lay down with him so that he gets used to his room. It is going better than I thought. Hopefully we will get this down before the baby comes.

here he is sleeping in his room.

I will finish this post with a funny story about Cooper. Friday night we were just hanging out at the house and Trey and I were sitting on the couch and I asked Trey to rub my feet so being the sweet husband he is he did. Then all of the sudden Cooper comes running over to sit up on the couch with us. Well once he noticed what daddy was doing he wanted his feet rubbed too. So he took one of Trey's hands and put it on his foot so that he could rub both of our feet at the same time. Every time Trey tried to stop rubbing Cooper's feet he would yell and grab his hand back and put it on his foot. So funny.
